Lyrics: It's Wednesday and it's warm, out here all alone lying in the sun, and the wind is blowing warm and carrying away a dream I had of you. A man like you, you know what to do.
So many friends are calling me but I'm just working on my tan. I hear their voices calling me but they just don't understand.
This song was written by me when I was just lying in the sun by the Eel river in Southern Humboldt county and I was thinking of a man I had seen but didn't ever get to talk to. I remember he was attractive and had beautiful eyes and it was a memory I could not forget. The wind was carrying away a memory of him as I felt a fleeting feeling though I knew it was a longing that probably would not come true as we never exchanged numbers or talked. So many friends were calling me but I just didn't want a friend at that time in my life. I wanted a lover and a man. I was just working on my tan as I layer in the sun and relaxed into the mood of the beautiful summer day and enjoyed my beautiful memory of the man I never met but could not forget. After that day in the sun, I wrote this song.
